What's the difference between a handyman and a contractor?

Do I need a permit for home repairs in Lafayette or Boulder County?
The Rule of Thumb
If the work changes the structure, adds new systems, or moves existing utilities, you likely need a permit. If it's replacing or repairing something in the same location, you usually don't.

Do I need a permit to replace a fence in Lafayette or Boulder County?
In most cases, no. Boulder County does not require a building permit for fences under 6 feet tall, and the City of Boulder exempts fences under 7 feet. If your replacement fence is the same height as what's already there, you're typically good to go without a permit.
Exceptions include properties in a floodplain, wetland, historic district, or subject to HOA rules — those may have additional requirements regardless of fence height.

Do you repair damaged drywall?
Yes, I can patch and repair most drywall holes, cracks from foundation settling, and/or damage incurred from various accidents.

Do you offer free estimates?
Yes — I provide free estimates. I ask for photos or videos to help me provide an estimate virtually first. Typically virtual estimates are all that’s needed. If your project requires measurements, visual inspection of the area, etc, I will visit in person.
